Rough Housing

We didn't do much tonight but the boys, yes even the big one, were wrestling tonight. It's always so funny when they rough house. Here are some pictures. Paige got in on some of it too.

Addicted?

So my husband says that I am addicted to blogging. Hey, I guess there are worse things in the world to be crazed over.
We were up pretty late last night, ok I should say we were up till this morning. We had a fun night with our friends, but stayed up way too late. So we had to wake the kids for church. We have been excited for our BBQ and tie-dyeing adventure. Can you believe it, we woke up to snow this morning? So it was a pretty grumpy day but that's what we get for keeping our kids out late, and the weather improved a little. Thankfully the kids did get a nap before the festivities.
Kim, Danny, Adam and I, with all of our kids in tow, met up at the Grunanders. We had our BBQ and birthday cake (cute cake Heidi), and then started our craft project. Which by the way Adam and Danny were "totally" in to! Danny was the professional of the night. His shirts turned out the best. We had fun rubber banding and dying the shirts. Kim and I were looking for things to dye. We ended up dyeing Paige's and Nani's socks! What a great idea Heidi, you rock ! Thanks for the fun night!!!
The kids completely trashed the house and after cleaning up we headed home. Our kids crashed, they were so tired.
So apparently Kim and I are both addicted to blogging and couldn't wait to get home and jot down our evening on our blogs, so without further ado here are some pictures.....

Grateful

I don't have a lot to write about, but I have been trying to write everyday or close to it. We ran some errands today, and we have a fun birthday party to go to tonight. I am also excited for tomorrow, we are getting together with some close friends. We are going to tie-dye shirts and have a B.B.Q. It should be a lot of fun!
Our kids seem especially grouchy lately. I am praying for warm weather so we can start doing more things outside.
I just looked at a friends blog (Casandra) and she was listing blessings in her life and it gave me an idea. I use to do a grateful journal but stopped a while ago. So, I was thinking when I post a message I could write at least one thing I was grateful for. Thanks Casandra for the great idea!

So BIG !

Today was Brysen's orientation for kindergarten. We saw a lot of friends there that have kids the same age, so he's bound to have some of them in his class. His teacher is in for it. He is such a prankster. I can't believe he will be gone everyday for a few hours. I think I can find it in myself to enjoy some down time with Paige.

This outfit is from Grandpa & Grandma Jensen. She finally fits into it. I love the hat and had to post this picture. I love taking pictures of her

Here she is in the middle of making her zurbert/spitting noises!

Girl Time

Laundry day! I don't know how we have so much laundry but we do. I am constantly getting rid of clothes yet we still have an absurd amount. Which is mind boggling considering that I feel like I have nothing to wear! Without fail someone always shows up at my door on laundry day when I haven't showered, my hair is crazy, and my clothes are mismatched. Am I the only one this happens to?
I got to go to lunch with some girlfriends today for, "my friend Jen"'s birthday. It is always nice visit and have girl time. They are so cute and oogle over Paige. Thanks for the fun lunch and break ladies!

Center Of Our World

I was so excited to get these pictures! I can't believe our Paige is 6 months. It's going by too fast. She is so much fun. We all love her so much, she is the center of our little Jensen world. The boys adore her, and are constantly loving on her. Jake is always busting a gut with the cute things she does. She has been talking up a storm and making all kinds of noises. She has been zerburting the back of her hand and has moved on to everyones faces. It's a riot! Adam is thrilled she is saying DaDa. I am trying to enjoy the time I have left before she starts crawling. We are so blessed with our beautiful kids, they are amazing!

Our Easter

Easter Break

Hope you had a good Easter! We did. The kids got up early and checked out their baskets. We slept in a little later than we should of to fit everything in before church, but we made it. The boys had fun hunting for eggs. I can't wait for
Paige to join in next year.
We got home from church and had dinner. Our nephew, Logan called and asked if we could come over for a visit. We haven't seen him since he's been home from Iraq. The kids were really excited to see him again. Logan had never seen Paige before so it had been a while since we'd seen him. Jack and Karri and crew showed up a little after we did. It was nice to spend time with family. We really enjoyed our visit with everyone.
Today the boys were home from school because of Easter break. I wanted to do something fun but I had scheduled Paige's 6 month appointment months ago thinking they would be in school. She is doing great! 75th-90th percentile in height, and she is a tiny bit underweight. That was shocking to me because she has some chubins on her that the boys never had. Hopefully with her on the acid reflux meds she will eat better and get caught up on weight. She did have an ear infection, and was just on antibiotics. Oh well. Hopefully we will get everything under control and she will sleep better! Cross my fingers!!!
The boys picked out some seeds today to plant. They have helped in the yard but I have never thought ahead enough to plant seeds. This year we are hoping to do better. I am excited for them to grow their own flowers and have that experience. If I were really brave we would do a garden...not there just yet.

hApPy EaStEr

We had a fun day! We colored eggs and made cookies and decorated them. The boys would rather of just eaten cookie dough and frosting, but we managed to finish them. I ventured out and learned how to do a slide show so you could see all the pictures from today.
The boys are excited for tomorrow. We will get up early and hunt for eggs, then get ready and head out for church. We are having dinner just our little family so besides sugar highs it should be a relatively layed back day....HOPPY EASTER!

Jake's New Ride

Here is a picture of Jake's new bike. He was pretty excited about it, but not too ecxited he had to reamain cool about it! It is brown and white (Jake just helped with that sentence).

Happy 8th Birthday Jake

It has been a busy day! We went and got pictures taken with the Grunanders. They all turned out so cute. I can't wait to get them. Jake wanted to take one alone with Paige and I couldn't say no. Heidi dropped us off and I took the boys to lunch. That was insanity. McDonalds was the hot spot today. With spring break everyone was out and about. I was a wreck. I let the boys go play while I ordered their food. First, the line was very long, then I had to carry a diaper bag, Paige, my food from Taco Bell and the boy's tray. Needless to say, I knock a chair over and spilled my drink. I put on quite a show for everyone at Mcy-d's. We headed to Robert's after that to get flowers. Then it was off to Kohls for birthday presents. Then we FINALLY made it home.
So Jake's birthday has been a little crazy. I wrapped some presents I bought at the BYU store and gave them to him throughout the day. He is into shirts with collars now. So we bought him a green polo shirt at Kohls today (the same color as Dale Jr.'s new car). As soon as we got home Colton was at the door wanting to play, and so Jake was off! Now he is home wanting to open presents. So here is a picture of our 8 year old BIG AND STRONG!!!

~Fresh Air~

A moment to breathe....What a beautiful day we had. It started out snowing and ended gorgeous. Let's see...I gave a friend a ride today so she could drop off her car at the mechanic. My neighbors asked me to take their family pictures...Did some spring cleaning, aired out my house. Adam was freezing, no surprise there...lol..Adam's parents came over to have Jake open his present from them. It was a blanket that Lou had a friend in our ward make...Had a presidency meeting...Adam had his meetings...Adam got home and just left to get a bike for Jake's birthday. Paige is currently destroying the office while I am typing. She is becoming a handful! Her attention span is very short. But boy can her smile light up the room.
Well, tomorrow is Jake's birthday and he is out of school for spring break. We are doing something with Heidi and company, then later we will do dinner and a movie as a family. Alvin and the Chipmunk's ( I can't remember the last time Adam and I saw a grown up movie together). Saturday will be an Easter egg hunt in the park, and coloring eggs.
Jake's baptism is coming up. I am not sure what to do. I think we will have an open house afterwards. I can't believe we are already at this stage in his life. Time is going by fast. He is such a good kid. I am so proud of him and the good heart that he has. He is so quick to help and so loving. We are extremly blessed to have him in our family.
I am really enjoying reading, "The Five Love Languages". Look into it, you won't regret it!

Great Kids!

We had Jake's parent/teacher conference tonight. What a good kid we have. We know it, but it's nice to know that when we aren't around that he is the great kid that we know him to be. His teacher said that he is an amazing helper and she wished she had 10 Jake's in her class. A very nice compliment. He is doing great in school, he just has to work on his fluency. I have to laugh. Just about every girl in his class has a crush on him . He will never admit it, but I know he knows it. We talked about hygene and that when he is older and dating girls care about that sort of thing. WOW! I wish I would have said something sooner. It's alot less of a fight for getting some things done now.
Heidi came and dragged my lazy self to the park for a little bit to let the kids play. Thank goodness for her or I wouldn't do half ( OK, most) of the adventurous stuff that I do! But it's always interesting and never a dull moment on our outings!
Brysen's pre-school orientation is coming up. It will be so nice to send him to school every day and for more than a couple of hours here and there. I am a little worried about him getting bored in class. He is ahead of where Jake was when he started and Jake was bored. He scares us sometimes with the things he says and how he perceives the world. But I will tell you this..he is so smart. He blows me away sometimes. I think he is going to be one of those kids that half listens during class, never studies and passes with flying colors. He always tries the path of least resistance. It will be interesting to see how he does at school.

PAIGE'S EASTER DRESS

I WAS SEEING IF PAIGE'S DRESS FIT HER AND OF COURSE SHE LOOKED BEAUTIFUL! HERE ARE SOME PICTURES....

Not Prepared!

We went to our Ward Conference Activity on Saturday. It was on preparedness. Yikes! I have a lot of work to do! It was nice to visit with our friends. During the winter we don't see each other as much. Sunday we went over to Heidi & Jason's for dinner. Heidi and I actually had some mommy time for a bit and made some cute things for the girls. Thank you Adam & Jason for the break! Then we helped the kids make biscotti. They had a lot of fun using food coloring and making their own creations. We came home and had a little family home evening lesson( I was just reading this to Brysen and he said I forgot to write about playing BINGO ). Kids went to bed and I was able to get a little reading done. I am reading, "The Five Love Languages". I first heard about the book when we went to our first round of Love & Logic's. When Heather and I were at Barnes & Noble she was buying the book, and I figures it was time that I finally did too. I have really enjoyed it. I recommend it to all couples, old and young, and especially parents!
Paige is still not sleeping! She was up a lot last night, but is now sleeping like a little angel now that mommy is up! I just don't know what to do with that girl. She is rolling over now. She did it for the first time on Friday. I had her playing on the floor, and when I would check on her she was on her belly. I would roll her over and wait to see her do it. Well, she wouldn't roll over. So then I would go back to my task and she would roll over. Finally last night she was all over the place and we were all able to see her roll back and forth. It's so fun to see the boys get excited for her milestones. They are so sweet and good with her. She really has completed our little family.
The boys are very excited about St. Patrick's Day, and to wear their green shirts. I found Jake in the bathroom this morning trying to do his hair in a mo-hawk. I helped him and it turned out pretty good. When they want to do stuff that's a little out of the norm I try to remind myself to let them express themselves now so they don't rebel later. I guess we will see how that turns out. Brysen wants to play a computer game so it's time to close.....

Go Team!!!

Well, tonight didn't go so great for Oquirrh 2nd Ward men's basketball team. They lost tonight. We played a much younger team. Our guys played hard until the very end. Way to go team!
It was nice to go to work tonight. I found out I don't have to work any Saturdays. Which means less pay and less breaks. I know Adam will be happy not to have to lug the kids around on Saturday mornings to games by himself . He does a great job, but they can be a handful. I am being told it's bedtime. I only got on the computer to type up something for our soccer team. I couldn't resist not writing for a minute.

Some Quiet Time

I am really grateful for some time to myself! Paige is hopefully down for the night and we will both get some sleep. Adam is at basketball tonight. Our wards men's basketball team is at regions and they have been doing really well. We couldn't go tonight on account of it being too late and being sick. I hated not to go and support Adam, but our kids really need the rest.
End of the Week Wrap Up: Jake had his baptism interview with he Bishop, I went out with Heather and had some much needed mommy time, saw 'Penelope' & had our soup at Johnny Carino's, girl's book club meeting, stake night with the youth, doctors appointments & started this blog.
I go into work tomorrow, and I believe Saturday too. Adam has to brave a soccer game for Jake by himself at 7:30 am and if they win tonight's b-ball game, he has one Saturday morning at 10 am. Lindsay is in town and we are going to see them and celebrate Keni's birthday.
Soccer is starting soon. To be honest...I am dreading how crazy it makes our lives. We really try to make sure that quality family time is a priority, but with the boys in soccer..Yikes! I know I shouldn't complain, but I am! We are looking forward to our trip in May to see my brother and his family, and my parents. Lots to look forward to this summer too. Can't wait for the warm weather, hikes, play dates, camping, reunions, family trips, neighborhood gatherings, yard work, walks, lots of fun to be had!

Up All Night!!!

Well, Miss Paige has not been feeling well. Not that she has been sleeping through the night anyways, but the last couple of nights have been long. Despite the lack of sleep, I love her to pieces!
Being in a small house with little storage and no garage we always feel like we are busting at the seams. I have been wanting to get some spring cleaning done and really "purge" (that's for you Heidi) a lot of unneeded things. So yesterday I was able to go through most of my kitchen. I feel like our house is in disarray. So...one room at a time I am telling myself! We have so many things we want to do to the house we don't know where to start. We spend a lot of time in the front yard visiting and playing with neighbors in the summer, so I think we are starting there. Warm weather can't come soon enough to start digging and playing in the dirt! Well, Princess P has had enough and needs mom attention.

Welcome to the Year 2008

Well, I have wanted to do this forever. I really don't have a clue what I am doing, but I wanted to try. Everyone has such a cute blog, hope I get there soon. I was talking to a friend, who is quite a bit younger. Anyways, she mentioned a bolg and then asked if I knew what that was. I hit her and said , " I am not that old!". So my goal is to be faithful so family and firends can see what we are up to. I make no promises, but only to try!
